ABOUT JOHN BURNETTE
John Burnette is a singer-songwriter and guitarist from Little Rock, Arkansas who combines his background in Folk, Jazz, Indie, Rock and Blues to create a familiar yet searching blend of music that draws on his past musical experiences. At the end of a temporary break from performing to focus on recording, he is putting the finishing touches on his first full-length album debut set for a late spring/early summer release.
He spent the first years of his life in Mtn. View, Arkansas: The Folk Music Capitol of The World, a community dedicated to supporting and continuing the tradition of live music and storytelling. As a teenager and transplant to Little Rock, John began playing in blues and rock bands from Arkansas and Nashville, TN. After receiving a degree in music from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, he worked as an instructor and guitarist for hire playing with Jazz, Rock, R&B and Country groups around the state. Soon after, he developed an interest in songwriting and took up vocal duties to a surprisingly warm reception which culminated into a compelling and personal synthesis of stories and styles.
