A member of an East Coast-based drag group called 'The Dairy Queens' Milk was discovered by New York Nightlife Mogul Susanne Bartsch. (In 1989, Bartsch threw an AIDS benefit called the Love Ball that raised $400,000 and introduced a then-unheard-of dance called voguing. Madonna was there.)
